Accessible STEM: A Toolkit for Instructor-Created Course Content
Project Mission:
This project will develop a toolkit that STEM faculty can use to produce accessible versions of their own LaTeX-authored course materials — versions compatible with screen readers, text-to-speech software, braille displays, and other assistive technology — within their existing authoring workflow.
The toolkit will support a proactive, accessible-by-design approach, keeping authors in full control of their work and free to revise and regenerate accessible versions on their own schedule. For every student, the result is well-structured material that works across devices and with the tools they already use — advancing more usable, inclusive learning for all.
